Centers for Information and National Security (CINSec®)

The CINSec® is associated with several research universities that have National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security Centers of Academic Excellence (CAE). Through these associations, we have partnered with them on many grant-funded projects from military and intelligence agencies, and have provided CAE related training.

The Cinsec® Certification

There is a difference between knowing about something and knowing how to DO something (commonly called the knowing-doing gap). With the CINSec® and the Security Policy Institute®, you get hands-on training and experience with your academic certificate in security management -a 12 credit hour College Equivalency and Continuing Education Unit (CEU) program -and not just a paper-quiz certification!

The CINSec®

The CINSec is mainly focused on professional development of information security practitioners. However, equipped with talent, experience, and with a flexible organizational arrangement, and in partnership with the Security Policy Institute, we also provide products, consulting, and research. For instance, we have participated in SBIR/STTR grant funded work, conducted applied research for transfer, developed corporate security policies, and we have developed security systems for a variety of organizations.

Given our unique capabilities, the CINSec:

  • Can conduct penetration testing, auditing, and certification of products and services.
  • Can assist in the development of security policies.
  • Can conduct systems and security analyses.
  • Can conduct security audits and evaluations according to standards and best practices.
  • Can help you gain traction with security programs.
  • Can augment your workforce
